hers is a pocket handkerchief sized garden. it's a wonder how it contains so many herbal plants. Mengkudu, lengkuas/ galangal, serai/ lemon grass, lemuni, kadok, ulam raja, curry leaves, pandan, beluntas, lime.
there are also jasmine, heliconias, cape myrtle, purple, white, yellow orchids, scarlet amaryllis (she calls them daffodils), pineapple, longan plants, honeydew, ferns, agave, plumeria rubra/ kemboja mulia, rambutan, some succulents, a tiny palm, durian seedlings, cordyline, tapioca, honeydew.
the jasmine blooms and plumeria fill the air with a heady scent, along with the pandan. birds, bees and butterflies frequent her garden, loving the nectar; the merry little creatures adding colour, melodious chirpings and ephemeral beauty.
(whenever specifying plants for a landscape design, she always includes those with fragrant blooms or leaves so that the garden will have an added dimension of beautiful fragrance which in turn will attract agents of pollination and fertilisation - birds, bees, butterflies etc......)
