when in bloom, the mexican lilac trees would be full of lilac colored flowers minus leaves. the flame of the forest and the peacock flower trees have bright red blossoms amongst the delicate little leaves arranged like a lattice. rose of India has tiny pink blooms.
in the sultry evenings when she used to frequent the botanical gardens with her family, she couldn't get enough of the beauty of these trees in full bloom.
the acacia javanica has yellow flowers like the golden shower trees. these would be strewn upon the grass after a rain, creating a huge yellow carpet.
the tecoma has pale pink or white flowers covering the whole tree not unlike the sakura.
the mimusops elengi has tiny white but fragrant flowers.
the macang fruit trees have lots of very small red flowers on stalks, making the trees look deep red from afar. durian trees have very sweet smelling white flowers with plenty of nectar for the busy birds and bees and for little children too!
